It takes a village to keep a nonprofit running, and especially a nature based facility that offers programs in equine assisted counseling and equine assisted workshops.
We are forever grateful to our team!

Michelle comes from a multigenerational military background, father was a Marine, husband USAF for 28 years, and son active duty USAF,. She has seen how war impacts self concepts, relationships and one's ability to connect.
Her treatments are tailored to the individual: moral injury /PTS intensives, weekly/biweekly EMDR and equine therapy, telehealth, and/or "tune-ups" when prior clients have stressors that affect functioning. "My goals for these veterans is to get them back in their lives, back into healthy relationships. PTS and moral injury cause isolation from suppressing negative experiences. These confidential treatments can open the door to positive emotions and connection again."

Jeff retired from the US Air Force in 2015 after 28 years of active duty. He finished his career at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, NV where he served as the commander of RED FLAG. RED FLAG was the largest, most realistic and relevant air combat training in the world. RED FLAG integrated live fly, space operations, and cyber effects in scenarios important to combatant commanders across the globe. That assignment culminated a career flying F-16's all over the world flying operational assignments and operational test assignments.
After his retirement Jeff worked briefly for Lockheed-Martin where he was part of a small cadre of instructors teaching foreign pilots how to fly. Jeff is currently employed by FedEx Express as a Captain flying the Airbus A300. An avid fly fisher, Jeff often tries to work his schedule to fly fish across the United States.
Jeff's passion however, is to help lead and support Tailwinds Ranch. Tailwinds Ranch has supported numerous veteran's and first responders who find themselves in difficult straights. Supporting Tailwind's counseling by work as a peer support coach and helping with the daily farm chores that are necessary for day-to-day operations are the most rewarding efforts of his life.
